Safety Center

Your safety, by design.

HeartPath is built so you can connect with confidence. Here's exactly how we protect you — before, during, and after a match — and what to do if anything ever feels off.

1. Verified before matched

Every member completes a 3-step verification before they appear on HeartPath:

  • Email verification — confirms a real, working email.
  • Live selfie check — a liveness scan matches the face to profile photos in real time.
  • KYC identity — government-ID check confirms the person is who they say they are.

IDs are encrypted, used only for verification, and are never visible to other members.

2. Privacy controls in your hands

  • Hide from contacts — block your phone contacts from ever seeing your profile.
  • Pause profile — disappear from discovery any time without losing your matches.
  • Photo control — choose exactly which photos appear publicly vs. only after a match.
  • No real names exposed — your full legal name, phone number, and ID are never shown to others.
  • Delete anytime — full account and data deletion is one tap away.

3. Block and report

If anyone makes you uncomfortable, you can block and report them in seconds. Reports are reviewed by a real human moderation team, and verified bad actors are removed and prevented from re-joining.

  • Open the profile or chat.
  • Tap the menu → Block or Report.
  • Choose a reason. We take it from there — your identity stays anonymous.

4. Meeting in person — the basics

  • Chat first. Take time to message before agreeing to meet.
  • Pick a public place. Cafés, restaurants, busy parks. Avoid private spaces for first meetings.
  • Tell a friend. Share your plans and live location with someone you trust.
  • Arrange your own transport. Don't rely on your date to get there or back.
  • Trust your gut. If something feels wrong, leave. You owe no one an explanation.
  • Don't share financial details. No one on HeartPath should ever ask you for money, UPI, or bank details.

5. Spotting and avoiding scams

Genuine HeartPath members will never:

  • Ask you to send money, gift cards, or crypto.
  • Push you to move conversations off the app immediately.
  • Pressure you to share OTPs, passwords, or banking info.
  • Refuse to do a video call before meeting.

If you see any of these, report the profile right away.

6. Mental wellbeing

Dating can be emotionally heavy. Take breaks when you need them — pausing your profile is healthy, not a setback. If you're going through a hard time, please reach out to a trusted person or a professional. In India, iCall (9152987821) and Vandrevala Foundation (1860-2662-345) offer free, confidential mental-health support.

7. Emergency

If you are in immediate danger, please contact local emergency services first:

  • India — Police: 112
  • India — Women Helpline: 1091

After you are safe, report the user in HeartPath so we can take action and protect others.

8. Get in touch

Our safety team reads every report. If you need help, email safety@heartpath.ai and we'll respond as fast as humanly possible.
